Hotel Albergue el Marañón
Nature 20 minutes from the city

A solamente 20 minutos de la ciudad de San José, entre Ciudad Colón y Santa Ana se encuentra este hermoso albergue de montaña con una propuesta de alojamiento amigable con el ambiente: sus techos son de un material reciclado y utiliza energía solar para calentar el agua de sus duchas, la electricidad de la cocina del restaurante y el uso de la lavandería, además de contar con el Certificado de Sostenibilidad Turística del ICT.

Con 14 habitaciones (camas dobles y cencillas más terrazas), 2 mini-apartamentos, restaurante, senderos naturales, cursos de español y un salón multiuso en medio de la naturaleza, el hotel ha sabido aprovechar los atributos del medio ambiente, como las bellas vistas hacia el Valle Central y el Volcán Poás.

Cabe resaltar que el restaurante posee un menú muy variad o que va desde la comida típica de Costa Rica hasta platos de la cocina internacional. El salón multiuso además posee capacidad para 60 personas y en él se pueden organizar eventos como seminarios e incluso cursos de terapias alternativas como el yoga, tai-chi o medicina natural.

Only 20 minutes from the city of San Jose, between Ciudad Colon and Santa Ana one will find a beautiful mountain lodge with friendly accommodations made in a very unique manner. The roof is made from a recycled material and uses solar energy to heat the water, run the electricity for the kitchen, restaurant and the washer and dry. It is even certified as a sustainable tourist's hotel by the ICT.

The lodge has 14 rooms (single and double beds with terrace), 2 mini apartments, restaurant, natural walk ways, Spanish courses and a small convention center in the middle of nature. The lodge has certain environmental attributes such as the incredible views of the Central Valley and Volcano Poas.

It wouldn't be unusual for the restaurant to have a diverse menú of typical Costa Rican food and delectable international plates. Also, the small convention center can hold up to 60 people for any event or course, for example, alternative therapies like yoga, tai-chi or natural medicine.
